What’s more surprising, besides the promise of keeping faithful with the original combat that put Blade and Soul on the map, is that they’ll be keeping many elements from the MMO, like the skill system, intact and fully operational on the mobile platform.Īpart from that, there’s not much else known about the game and all we can do is try to sate our hunger for more Blade and Soul action by farming tons of BnS gold in the original MMO. With Tencent, the biggest mobile gaming company in the world, they’ll certainly be able to deliver on that promise and will have a grand market to play with on the mobile platform. This is an exciting development as NCSoft has made their intentions clear that they will be bringing the same kind of combat system from the MMO onto mobile platforms.
This game will explore the relationships between the characters and the events that lead up to the beginning of the MMO where the Hongmoon school is utterly destroyed, throwing the player character on the path of revenge.

Imagine that! We’re getting Blade and Soul on our mobiles! NCSoft has recently announced a prequel game for the Blade and Soul MMO in the form of Hongmoon Rising. The new game will be co-developed by NCsoft and Tencent and for both PC and mobile platforms and, as some say, VR support is being considered for its future.
